Lol, I can tell that because of all the complaints last time of it "looking too much like Shift", that was one reason you redesigned the character. And let me tell you, he looks SLICK.
In fact, everything looks much slicker now, especially with the menu, level select, and spy theme.
I also liked how you added wallclimbing to the game =) However, just personally, it feels a little bit like a tease because it's just a small step away from amazing wallJUMPing moves. (Which would've been helpful for Lvl 5) IF you make another sequel, or plan to make another platformer, I think you could pull off the walljumping programming quite well.
Furthermore, thanks for fixing the glitches that were in the last game. Also, the addition of name, trophies, and collectibles? You really ramped up this game, didn't ya. =)
--------
Tiny criticisms/suggestions:
-A little laggy, but people can fix that with a right click, I guess
-It may get a little monotonous. Perhaps a change in music or lighting? (Although that may destroy its charm) I know, how about some VERTICAL mirroring next time? (If there is a next time)
--------
Great job, anyway!

At first, I thought the joke was along these lines: "sorry, but free will is a pretty useless thing to have if it doesn't work properly." ~Quote some reviewer below me who ironically didn't get the point of the game.
After finishing the level, when I got to the <SPOILER ALERT> setting William free thing, the small little revelation made me smile. If you don't get to free Will, you lose your free will! I thought it was a cute joke.
However, the joke could have been a little better if, after you rescue William, you are allowed to play the game again FREELY.
(P.S: I sure wish I thought of this idea in :the game:. Brilliant concept here: short but sweet.)

Every single time I watch one of your cartoons, I always confuse you for Matt Wilson - your fluid FBF animation style, the characters' exaggerated facial expressions, the fast-paced 'random' style of humour: it's almost as if you're one and the same...
(And yeah, Michelle & Feo instantly reminded me of Mark & Tony...)
But yeah, the animation and character designs are amazing! Love it, 10/10!

For a first flash, not bad! Obviously, quite a few faults, which I shall now address:
1) File size. Here's a tip: use Audacity (free program), Window's Sound Recorder, or some other sound-editing program to clip the songs you used. You importing the songs in their entirety is what caused the file size to be over 8MB. (They were hi-quality songs, yes) Another option is to use shorter songs from NG's very own Audio Portal.
2) Graphics. Okay, yeah, it's my :the game: character, which is deliberately simple. But the backgrounds were quite plain, especially the coloured one. Use gradients for the sky, and blur white blobs to create clouds! Also try to add shadows for realism.
3) Animation. It's choppy, but forgivable for a first submission. No one's rushing you, but when you feel confident enough, be sure to try higher frame rates. (fps: frames per second) At least you actually attempted a walk cycle, unlike my hopping guys. Just try to add more inbetween frames, but not any more than you can handle. (before the animation goes from choppy to glitchy) Lastly, even though this is completely unnecessary, a few flare effects would make the shining light look a lot cooler.
Anyway, not bad for a first animation, and I must say I'm kinda happy that someone liked :the game: enough to make an animation starring the 'main' character. Thank you!

Other than the fact that this part of There Will Be Blood was hilarious enough, the way you used text to portray objects, volume, emotion, and intonation was brilliant! But it is kind of short, so yeah, 9/10 stars.

Seriously, that Flash game used the best implementation of physics. The blob physics were just spectacular. The personalities of Number 2 and the blob were really fun! The background and character design was amazing too - the colour scheme was very fitting as well as a good piece of eye candy.
The gameplay was simple, yet fun and orginal. This complex game, all with just the mouse, wow! I also really liked how the blobs doubled up as both an essential jump mechanism AND a some sort of a life bar. The camera was also dynamic yet non-intrusive: it struck a great balance. Not to mention, the ending was very, very fun.
The only thing I can criticize is the lag, and the fact that the portals don't even make so much as a sound effect when you teleport.
I hope you're planning a sequel - there are so many aspects of the blob physics AND the storyline that yet need to be explored! What other powers does ooze have? Will there be other blobs like him? Who are these scientists? Who's buying the ooze? What happened to the world?
...but one question sticks out above all: why does is this game not in the Top 50? Favourited.

I beta-tested this game on Mochi! I'm glad you took my advice on allowing the player to restart immediately. However, you can still use the arrow keys to move the dead body, there's no level select, and you can jump in midair.
Other than that, a really great game! *added to action collection*
Author's Response:
Thanks. i have some problems to fix for the sequel, including a total rehaul of the collision detection system.Hopefully, that will increase smoothness of play and better controls. There will also be new features to the game. keep an eye out!

The animation for the first half of the animation was iffy, but that's forgivable considering you only got your tablet while animating the second half. And the second half of the movie was very well animated. (Even in the first half, the lip sync was spot on)
It was a short flash, and it delivered swift and efficiently. The only suggestion I can make is to have them blink occasionally, like for emphasis.
For the sound, I'd recommend Audacity (free software) to remove the noise in the background.
Overall, great flash! (Also wow, Joe making an FBF animation as a response to this. XD)
Author's Response:
i don't really like having them blink unless its a drastic change of eyes or something cartoony like that. i do have audacity, but i dont think anything could remove my grandma's dishwashing. i could've removed the fuzz, but i got a little too lazy.
thanks for the review! and joe is sorta spiteful like that. his is with the song vampire weekend by a-punk.
or is it a-punk by vampire weekend...
i can never be too sure....

...which doesn't really go well with many Newgrounders. It's challenging, yes, but for me, the real time physics of the alien being blown to pieces was worth it.
However, I do feel the game gets a little repetitive after a while, as it's the same environment, same graphics, same music, same goal, and same objects. Also, I found it frustrating that once I found that 'sweet spot', I had to move the mouse to click the Reset button. Maybe allowing the player to press 'Space' or 'R' would be better?
Also, try using cookies instead of codes to allow the player to go to another level. It's a lot easier for the player.
Lastly, blood. I would have really loved to see tonnes of blood just SQUIRT right out of their bodies. ("Please, lie down on the couch.") For some reason blood gives me, as well as other Newgrounders, the incentive to keep on playing. Perhaps make the alien squirt more blood than the astronaut, as a reward system.
Quite good, overall!

"Hey, you finally submitted it to NG!"
I saw this on Mochiads previously, and I say, 4.11, what a score! It's a great game -I'm sure this flash will get a daily award! Congrats!
Author's Response:
YAY! Nutcasenightmare, ol' pall! Thanks for all the help on suggestions and everything! What a great thing to see you on NG too! =D
Cheers!
